What is PPC and What Should You Know about It?

One of the many online marketing tools you may have heard about is PPC, also known as pay-per-click, advertising. This blog post provides an overview of what PPC is and what it can do for your business.

Defining Pay Per Click
PPC is defined as an Internet advertising model that is used to direct traffic to websites from their searches on search engines. When an ad is clicked, the advertiser must pay the website owner or search engine where that ad is posted as a banner advertisement.

The advertiser needs to select certain keywords or keyword phrases that are relevant to their target audience so that they can be more successful in leading the right traffic to their website.

There are two types of PPC, including flat-rate PPC and bid-based PPC. Flat-rate PPC involves the advertiser and publisher agreeing upon a fixed amount for each click that is made while bid-based PPC involves advertisers participating in a private auction hosted by the publisher to state a price that they are willing to pay for clicks.

While there have been some cases of abuse with click fraud, sites like Google have implemented automated systems to protect against this type of abuse.

How PPC Helps Your Marketing Efforts
PPC is a great strategy to include in your Internet Marketing efforts. It can help direct the right traffic to your website as well as provide good feedback about the cost effectiveness of your advertising campaigns so you can make adjustments, if necessary.

Let a Professional Handle PPC for You
While PPC is relatively straightforward to use, it may be that you are not sure or do not have the time to manage the online advertising program. Although there are many Internet Marketing agencies out there that are willing to do it for you, it is important to ensure you opt for a professional agency that has your best interests at heart and is committed to working with you over the long term.

For example, many PPC firms include their monthly management fee in the customer’s monthly advertising spend on the search engines. That causes a real hardship for a big e-commerce firm that needs to spend $5,000 to $25,000 per month on Google Pay Per Click.

Flyline Search Marketing is fast becoming the vendor of choice for e-commerce firms that are seeking great program performance at an incredible price. Flyline Search Marketing has a special e-commerce package that allows our larger clients to spend the money they need to in order to compete on Pay Per Click without worrying about 40% percent of their monthly spend amount ending up in the pockets of an Internet Marketing firm that doesn’t tell you what they are keeping out of the fees you pay.
Imagine turning your e-commerce program over to an Internet Marketing firm that charges less than $2,000 per month to custom design and maintain your Google program even if you are spending $25,000 monthly on Google advertising. Using one of the big PPC firms would cost you at least $25,000 x 40% = $10,000.

Besides the value pricing, we deliver incredible results as well. For example, our team of professionals built a Pay Per Click program for a nationwide pest control e-commerce store that has generated on average 7,000 shopping cart transactions per month. Our Google Adwords Certified professionals created 20 active campaigns as well as built 117 ad groups, 154 Google Ads. and more than 2,100 keyword terms. You ask why only 2,100 keyword terms.

Are you ready to experience similar results? Now is the time to contact us and get started on your PPC program!

Behind the Scenes
These results did not come from a random implementation of some Internet Marketing tactics. Instead, the seasoned team at Flyline Search Marketing created a custom Internet Marketing program for each florist client.

The overall program was framed by paid search through Google AdWords and pay-per-click strategies.

In addition, each of the florists used a varietal mix of other online marketing tactics that included:
  • SEO organic marketing
  •  Social media marketing
  • Blogging
  • Press releases
  • Ongoing website content development
The florists recognized the benefits of combining these elements and having a professional Internet Marketing agency create, oversee, and manage the process for them so they could focus on their core business, including nurturing personal and responsive relationships with their customers.

They also valued the in-depth knowledge that Flyline’s team has when it comes to the florist business – from promotional ideas and content to keywords and search marketing campaigns that garner the attention they want from their target audience.

In addition, all the florists were able to track the progress of their campaigns and see the return on their investment.

Beyond that, all the florists were able to grow their business both locally and nationally from these Valentine’s Day Internet Marketing campaigns.

SEO Done Right: Tips and Tricks to Get Your Business Noticed

If you have been following us and our blogs over here at Flyline, then you probably understand the importance of Internet marketing and how like gears in machinery, each part serves a purpose to keep things rolling.

One of these gears is SEO or search engine optimization as it is technically known. Like its name suggests, SEO is a broad and generalized term for optimizing the search engine in your business’s favor.

In other words, through proper uses of SEO, you can improve your website placement in a search engine, such as Google.
Of course, if you do it wrong, you can actually hurt your website placement or make it nearly impossible to find, which is why you should leave SEO to us at Flyline because we do SEO the right way.

Let Flyline Optimize Your Business Today
Our sole focus is promoting all types of businesses around the country through both offline and online placement.

This is done through many ways -- from building a social media presence to creating blogs and press release programs as well as handling the more technical side of things by utilizing various strategies that involve SEO.

Out with the Old
Go on and put the strategies of the past in your rear view mirror. Search engines are quite smart and are now programmed to sniff out the organic marketers -- that very same organic marketing that worked a few years ago is now useless.

Thanks to pay per click (PPC) programs, it’s quite often that the business with the deepest pockets gets put on top of the search query.  While it doesn’t work exactly like that, there is a lot of truth to it as pay per click programs like Google AdWords are extremely powerful and great at making your business more visible, but Google AdWords can be customized to fit any budget.

In with the New
Of course, there are still ways to optimize your website to appear more easily when searched. It is called relevancy. Search engines are programmed to look for what is more relevant. Sure, pay per click helps to make your website further visible by the search engine, and we can help with this as well.

You do this by making sure your website has a lot of content relevant to your business. Our team of content writers can provide SEO-driven content that draws traffic to your site.

The Ins and Outs of Remarketing

Imagine this: you are at your computer and pull up a Google search or some other search engine you like to use when looking for a product or service. You type in 'outdoor sports during the summer' and within a fraction of a second a list of different sites pop up, advertising everything from rock climbing to paintball.

You then put the mouse over an outdoor stores website and click on it, visiting the company’s homepage. You are greeted with a picture of some ripped guy tree climbing and some clever slogan explaining why this company is the best in outdoor sports products, gear, and attire.

After some debate, you decide to keep browsing and escape the page by clicking the back button and go to the paintball site only to be shocked by an ad from the very site you were just on. What just happened?

In a word, it’s remarketing and it’s a way for you, as a business, to remind potential customers that you are still there even after they travel to other sites but your ad might encourage them to come back.

Remarketing in a Nut Shell
Here’s how remarketing works. You searched Google for outdoor sports stuff and went on their website, which then told the coding of the website that you might be interested in buying something but then you left to look elsewhere.
Thanks to many sites requiring enabled cookies to 'properly display' the Google AdWords program (or other similar marketing program), technology allows a business to follow you and display visual incentives in the form of ads in order to convince you to come back to the original website.

The Remarketing Setup
This is an excellent way to stay on the top of people’s minds as they shop and do their research with various sites. These potential customers are more likely to return if you make it easy for them like clicking on an ad rather than recreating their search and trying to remember the name of the company they first visited.

Working with a certified Google AdWords partner like Flyline Search Marketing can help you take advantage of the benefits found with Remarketing.

This is also a way to expand your Internet Marketing strategies with new tactics that enhance your ongoing efforts by adding a blog, social media marketing tactics like a Facebook fan page or Twitter account, press release program and ongoing SEO-driven content updates.

Flyline Search Marketing Offers Premier Internet Marketing Strategies for the Yahoo and Bing Merger

Do you already own the seven seas of the Internet with our Google AdWords’ pay per click (PPC) advertising program? Well, there are some big fish that have jumped into the Internet Marketing Sea that you may want to consider.

Thanks to the merger of Yahoo and Microsoft MSN, or Bing as it is now called, there is a pretty big chunk of unclaimed waters to consider steering your boat toward. Here are some things to think about in relation to the Yahoo and Bing pay per click advertising program.

The Merging of Two Online Giants
Yahoo and Microsoft (Bing) have joined forces in an attempt to reclaim the search engine world. And, while alone they weren't so strong, together they have reclaimed about 30% of the Internet searches worldwide, including many from the US.

That equates to 154 million searchers that your business won't reach with just Google! Sounds like that could be an incredible missed opportunity if you don’t act now to readjust your Internet Marketing strategy.

Potential Advantages
For starters, because these companies have merged, you will no longer have to do with two separate accounts and all the hassle that comes with that. Of course you will also be reaching more people with your business now advertised on both the Yahoo and Bing search engines.

With both companies now working as one, there will be no time spent on 'competing' with each other. That means that their resources are now better spent on making things better for their customers. Expect to continue to see improvements with the Yahoo and Bing partnership and all that they offer as they become more tightly integrated.

Why Pay-Per-Click?
If you have not already heard of or even used it before, pay per click (PPC) advertising is one of the most effective marketing strategies available amongst Internet Marketing tactics today.

Whether used for Google or the Yahoo and Bing partnership, or both, Pay per click advertising, through careful calculations and a previously assigned budget, keeps your business on the front page of a search engine and can even lead to your company being listed at the top of the page -- where your company belongs.
